Yesterday, 30 June 2021, was the end of the first edition of Motorsport Next - Industry Innovation and Technology Transfer Global Forum: an event dedicated to innovation, research and technology transfer in the motorsport sector, co-organised by ANFIA-Motorsport and Autopromotec.
Many topics were covered during the two conference sessions. These were hosted and chaired by Federica Masolin, journalist and Sky Sport TV presenter, and Tim Angus, researcher on economic development and innovation. In the morning session, leading figures from the motorsport industry gave their perspectives on upcoming industry trends, including the use of new materials and technologies, electrification and sustainability, as well as the importance of training young talents.
In the afternoon session, space was given to the topic regarding technology transfer from the motorsport sector to various industrial industries. Through a series of case histories, the speakers highlighted the opportunities offered by an exchange of competences with (for example) the biomedical and aerospace sectors, with an important window also open on the academic world.

Just a few hours remain before the official opening of Motorsport Next - Industry Innovation and Technology Transfer Global Forum, the first edition dedicated to the innovation, research and technology transfer in the motorsport sector towards other industrial sectors. The event, co-organised by ANFIA-Motorsport and Autopromotec, will open tomorrow 30 June and will be hosted by Federica Masolin, Sky Sport journalist and TV presenter, as well as Tim Angus, researcher and consultant on economic development and innovation, active in the motorsport sector for over 25 years.
It will start at 9.30 a.m. with the first of two scheduled conferences: “FUTURE TRENDS IN THE MOTORSPORT SECTOR: technologies, materials and innovation”.
While waiting to follow the afternoon conference, entitled “TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AND BUSINESS: new business models for high-technology sectors” and scheduled at 2.30 p.m., guests will be able to visit and meet the event sponsors on a digital web platform. In fact, thanks to specially created virtual areas, the public and participating companies will be able to carry out networking activities, exchanging information and contacts.
At 12.00 p.m., ANFIA organizes at its booth the webinar called “Formula SAE Italy: an educational event for the engineers of tomorrow, to present the international educational event which involves students of the Engineering departments of Universities worldwide.

Innovation, research and technology transfer from motorsport to other industrial sectors. These are some of the topics of the digital event Motorsport Next - Industry Innovation and Technology Transfer Global Forum, co-organised by ANFIA-Motorsport and Autopromotec and scheduled for 30 June 2021.
The event, which will be held on a digital conferencing web platform, aims to encourage meetings between the most important Italian companies linked to motorsport as well as national and international players in the most technologically related sectors. At the two conferences scheduled for the day - “FUTURE TRENDS IN THE MOTORSPORT SECTOR: technologies, materials and innovation” and “TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AND BUSINESS - New business models for high-technology sectors” - Italian and international operators, representatives of institutions and managers of major players in the sector will discuss trends and points of contact among different industrial sectors, with the aim to encourage new business opportunities. Moreover, thanks to specially created virtual areas, the public and the companies taking part in the event will be able to carry out networking activities, exchanging information and contacts.
The Motorsport Next initiative, which will be the forerunner of the Motor Valley Fest 2021 scheduled from 1 to 4 July 2021, is part of the agreement for the implementation of an extraordinary project - underwritten by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, ICE - Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalisation of Italian companies, Emilia-Romagna Region and APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna - supporting the excellence of “Made in Italy” products, especially in the automotive sector.

The motorsport industry warms up its engines for Motorsport Next – Industry Innovation and Technology Transfer Global Forum. The event is part and opens Motor Valley Fest 2021, that will take place from 1st to 4th July 2021. The event is part of the agreement for the creation of a special project, signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, Emilia-Romagna Region in support of the “Made in Italy” excellence, with particular focus on the automotive industry. The digital event, on its debut on 30th June, 2021 and co-organized by ANFIA-Motorsport and Autopromotec, is aimed to promote the encounter among the most important Italian companies related to the motorsport industry and national and international players of technologically-related fields. The goal of the organizers is to facilitate networking activities among the operators, thereby opening new business opportunities.

The event will be broadcasted on a web platform using the most modern digital conferencing technologies. Audience and companies will thus be able to interact, sharing information and contacts within the virtual areas.
